Final Evaluation Overall, due to unforeseen circumstances we only had a week of Arduino workshops which allowed to grasp a basic idea of the world of Arduino and how it works. Meaning that we were not able to construct more advanced projects. As it would require more time to play around with it and work out some issues that we were facing even with the basic scripts. Furthermore, i have decided to make it a script using a motor which turns 90 degrees and returns to it's original position and goes other way.  Because the script was pretty straight forward it was working without a problem after some troubleshooting here and there however at the end i have received what i was intending to. Unfortunately i don't have a footage of it working this is because i was expecting to come back to University and record some of the footage however due to the Virus happening around that time and lockdown starting this have was not possible.

15/03/20 During today's session i have decided to research some of the Arduino sensors  IR Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module "used in robots to detect objects near the sensor. These sensors have a digital output pin that outputs a signal when it detects an object. When the module detects an obstacle, the green indicator light on the board lights up. The module detects the distance 2 ~ 30cm, detection angle 35" The IR transmitter sends an infrared signal that, in case of a reflecting surface (e.g. white color), bounces off in some directions including that of the IR receiver that captures the signal detecting the object. When the surface is absorbent (e.g. black color) the IR signal isn’t reflected and the object cannot be detected by the sensor. This result would occur even if the object is absent. Microphone Sensor This sensor is used for sound detection. This module has two outputs: AO (analog output), or DO (digital output). The digital outp...
14/03/20 Due to unforessen circumstances i have decided to stay at home during today's session meaning i was working remotely from home. During which i have researched different sensors that are available for Arduino for example microphone or photo resistance module as well as continued working on my project from yesterday about the motor.

12/03/20 During today's session for the first part of it was brief review of what we have covered on Tuesday. As well as we have started to experiment with included sensors i.e motor or range sensor which detects how far something is away from the sensor. We have been asked to make a project which includes the usage of one of the included sensors. I have decided to use motor as an example and using the research i have modified the code in order to turn 90 degrees and then back.

10/03/20 During today's session we have been introduced into Arduino and Processing software which works together in order to create various projects. As an introduction we have done the "Blink" project available from the Arduino software itself. Later on we have edited the code in order to personalize it to our needs and in order to explore and understand how does the software work rather than relying on finished piece of code. This was crucial as it allowed us to gain basic experience to operate Arduino. Furthermore, we have been taught that there is an app called Fritzing which allows you to visualize the project you are about to do by dragging in the objects from the library i.e. board or jumper wires and the software would validate whether or not the project would work.  Furthermore, in the afternoon we have started to experiment with processing and exploring some of the examples that are available within their library which allowed ...
